FIDIC Contracts Introductory & Claims and Disputes Course

This course provides the foundation of the FIDIC Contracts in addition to highlighting the differences and similarities among the different FIDIC Contracts. Also, the course explains the parties of the construction project, their rights and duties, the commencement of works, the extension of the time for completion, the payment procedure, the procedures relation to the suspension of works, the termination of the contract by the employer and the contractor as well as the force-majeure provisions contained in the FIDIC Contracts. This course also explains the difference between a ‘claim’ and a ’dispute’ as well as the differences between the claim procedure of the contractor and the employer. The course looks at the claim procedure of the contractor and employer separately in addition to explaining the dispute boards, their types, and duties as well as the way how they are constituted. The course also explains the referring of the dispute to the dispute boards.
