This course provides a practical and strategic understanding of the FIDIC Yellow Book 2017, focusing on the management of design-build projects under conditions of technical and contractual uncertainty. The workshop explores the philosophy, structure and operational logic of the Yellow Book, including the role of the Engineer, design responsibility, variations, testing and commissioning, payment mechanisms, claims management and dispute resolution procedures. Participants will develop practical insights into how FIDIC mechanisms operate in real projects, how risks are allocated and managed, and how contractual decisions directly impact project execution, claims and disputes.
