Course Description:

A hands-on cancer biology workshop that introduces students to essential laboratory techniques, including cancer cell culture, MTT assays to evaluate the effectiveness of anticancer agents, western blotting for protein quantification, and animal oncological imaging.

Main Course Goal:

This intensive hands-on workshop is created to give trainees real laboratory experience, enabling them to carry out important experiments on their own.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, participants became able to:

 Perform aseptic techniques in cell culture laboratories

 Count and seed cells for various experiments

 Prepare and apply various drug concentrations to cancer cell lines

 Assess the cytotoxicity of compounds using the MTT assay

 Analyze data and determine IC 50

 Measure protein expression using Western blotting

 Operate nanoScan PET/SPECT/CT imaging system

 Acquire, reconstruct, visualize, and analyze the imaging data
